So ……… I thought I would share a little bit more about me that some people may or may not already know. Some of you may have suspected this for a while, others may even find some of my answers downright shocking (lol) others may think (hhmmm …. really.. lol ) but either way happy reading.
1. Where did I grow up?
I was born in Nigeria so I could say I “grew up” there but then I came to the UK when I was 12 years old so you could also argue that I “grew” up in the UK. Either way, I am grown.
2 What are the worst gifts someone could give me?
Flowers, chocolate and wine (any alcohol really). I am not very big on flowers if I am honest, they look nice don’t get me wrong (that’s why I don’t mind artificial flowers) but I think I have subconsciously convinced myself that I am allergic to them lol. I am not a BIG fan of chocolate, I am more of a sweets kinda girl. I don’t mind the odd Maltesers or Kinder Bueno but not full on chocolate. As for alcohol, definitely not my thing and believe me I have tried wine, cocktails, etc but once I detect the taste of alcohol it is a no no from me. The upside to this, as my husband says, is that it makes Valentines very easy for him however I reminded him that the downside is that it could prove expensive because he has to get inventive with what he buys ( like ooo, I don’t know, shiny stuff lol).
3. What do I do during my free time?
FIRST OF ALL……… what free time lol. Between work life, mummy life, wife life, family life (because I am a daughter, a sister and a friend), entrepreneur life lol here isn’t much free time but when I do get pockets of me time, I like to catch up on my K-Dramas. Yep, I said it K-Dramas (Korean Dramas, also Chinese and Thai dramas too lol) and until you have watched it …………………… well………. let’s just say ALL my friends that cussed me out about it that have now been drawn into the K-Drama world have sincerely regretted their actions towards me (hahahahah) and are no looking to me for recommendations (oooo how the tables have turned lol).
4. What isn’t real but I desperately wished it was?
I need 2 things. First, a device that can be used to take out braids because, there is not enough time in the day. I love getting them done but taking them out arrggghhhhhh, it is loooonngggggg lol. Secondly, a need the device from the movie Fifth Element where you get your eye makeup done in literally seconds. CAN YOU IMAGINE…. seconds guys lol! I don’t usually wear make-up but with this device my eyes would always be on point!
5. Do I have a playlist on Spotify?
I don’t really use Spotify often but here it is.
6. Would I rather go 30 days without my phone or my entire life without dessert?
When I saw this question, I initially though it would be a difficult one to answer but when I actually sat down and re-read it, I realised it actually isn’t that difficult for me to answer. I would rather go 30 days without my phone easily. Why? Simply put, dessert is life! lol …… well, for me anyway. This is my sweet tooth rearing its head, but yeah dessert all the way for me, my phone can chill.
7. What is my favourite cuisine?
On the basis that Nigerian food is out of the running by default, then I would say …….. Asian food. I love their flavours and the spice, hhhmmmm …… the spice is life! I love spicy food (thanks Dad lol) and my husband doesn’t understand it sometimes because he is like “if every dish you are eating is spicy, don’t they all just taste the same? ” and I am like eeerrrmmm … no (lol) but only those with the true united love of spice can really & truly understand me 🙂
8. If I could go anywhere in the world where would I go and why?
I love to travel, before I got married, I travelled with Friends, when I got married, I travelled with my husband and when had my kids, I continued to travel with my friends and husband 🙂
Right now, I would love to go to South Korea ! Why??? I need to try their food first-hand. Guys, have you seen their food, it looks delish!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I have been to Korean restaurants but I want to experience the food on ground.
9. What word would my friends use to describe me?
Just one …lol….. hhmm, I would say “go getter” (Is that 2 words? Haha oh my bad). When I say I am going to do something I do it. I make sure I equip myself with the necessarily skills, knowledge or contacts and move right on ahead. Now don’t get me wrong, I do have a cautious side to me, but I am very big on the approach that you need to stop talking about it and just start doing it.
10. What motivates me?
This is a strange question for me because I think each situation requires a different type of motivation, for example my motivation to eat healthy comes from the fact I want to lose/maintain my weight so I can still fit into my clothes because I can’t be spending more money on clothes 🙂 or my motivation for staying up until the early hours pulling together fun study material for my kids stems from the fact that I want them to have the best start in life knowing I have done what I could to equip them as best as I can.
Hope you enjoyed reading this and if you have any questions or simply want to get to know me more, don’t be afraid to get in touch.
